The Art of bed-making

The Art of bed-making
You might be surprised to discover that one of the most important activities you should engage in on a daily basis is the art of making your bed. Although one of the most misinterpreted, unfulfilled, and seemingly difficult tasks which Americans fail to complete in the morning, studies show the profound evidence for why making your bed is essential.
A survey, pertaining to habits, emotions, and idiosyncrasies that making your bed facilitates, states that 82 percent of bed-makers believe that completing a small task helps them maintain their productivity throughout the day. Not only this, but 75 percent of Americans who make their bed say that they prioritize responsibilities over desires compared to the 57 percent, referring to non-bed-makers (Strand, 2019).
In my anecdotal experiences with the art of bed-making, I have developed my conscientiousness and industry. By making my bed after I read 10 pages in my current book, I have been able to develop a sense of order and structure associated with my morning regimen. Also, making my bed has helped me to have accomplished at least one task for the day, ultimately leading to a psychological sense of security. Additionally, bed making leaves your day ended with a sense of pride, dignity, and accomplishment.
So remember, after you wake up, sometime in the morning, make your bed. You do not have to make it right away; however, take the time to instill a sense of productivity, accomplishment, and order in your life…even if it is the most productive task you engage in throughout the day.
Linked below is the video that inspired me to write this article. So if you would like, watch the video and learn more about the art of making your bed.

Side note for future articles: My routines are structured to facilitate my behaviors, my habits, my sleep cycles, etc. Therefore, I encourage you to experiment with your daily routine, try different habits, break old ones, and have fun along the way. Thanks for all of the support!
